The plant safety of SF6 gas-insulated switchgear is reduced significantly through low concentrations of decomposition products. These decomposition products arise during operation through arcing in moist or impure SF6 gas. In order to detect even the smallest leakages or to warn ahead of gas emissions, we have a range of high-quality gas detectors and emission monitors.
Self-sealing alves and permanently gas-tight connections take care that no environmentally hazardous SF6 gas escapes, but rather remains safely in its designated containers.
The service operations, such as evacuation and filling of SF6 gas tanks or the processing of SF6 gas must be carried out with the appropriate equipment.
